Removal of organs

Removal of organs

The purpose of this form of human trafficking is not the exploitation of another person, but the removal of that person’s organs. It extends to every action by which a person is forced to surrender his or her organs.

The element of compulsion is not required if the person concerned is a minor. There has been little experience of this form of human trafficking in the Netherlands, but there has been a growing volume of research into the subject in recent years.
